Chicken and Waffles Christmas Ornament Funny Decoration

I have no idea what to make of this thing. It's a chicken who looks quite stoned, perched up on a stack of waffles. I get that "chicken and waffles" is a dish, and the joke is that it's a whole chicken, but....why would I want to hang it on my christmas tree? All those bizarre unanswered questions about the nature of this beast are exactly why it's perfect. A nonsense decoration for the nonsense practice of cutting down a tree and bringing it inside for us to hang stuff on it as it slowly dies.

This chill chicken ornament is clever and funny. The sturdy resin decoration will look great on your holiday tree, or hanging from a knob on a kitchen cabinet. I collect chickens, so my ornament will be up all year.

Every year I tuck a new Christmas ornament in my "kid's" Christmas stockings. They are all adults now, but the tradition goes on. It is a challenge to find ornaments that speak to their individual likes or talents sometimes, but when I saw this "Chicken and Waffles" ornament, I knew it would be perfect for my daughter-in-law. It's her favorite when we go to the craft fair together, and she always orders it from the same food truck. The ornament itself is well made out of resin. The description says it is hand painted for accuracy, but the "syrup" on the waffle appears to be the same color as the comb on the chicken's head - red! So.....it sorta looks like the chicken is sitting in a puddle of blood instead of maple syrup. I'm going to have to tell her to use her imagination and pretend it's strawberry syrup on this waffle! I deducted a star though because it doesn't look caramel color like the promo pic, and another star because I think $15 is a bit high for an approx. 2" tall ornament. If I were purchasing this from a craft show, maybe I would be willing to spend that much from a local vendor, but not on a mass produced item.

This is a cute hanging ornament which is a chicken sitting on top of waffles. It is not made out of plastic, it's made of weighty resin and doesn't feel like it would break easily.

The shape and details of the chicken are very well done. I assume that the stuff on top of the waffles is supposed to be butter and syrup. That would make sense. But there is something off about their look, at first I mistook the syrup for bacon.

I ordered this to use as a table decoration at a breakfast sports tailgate.
