Hysterical

This will totally make my white elephant Christmas party. The only thing I'm struggling with is do I put it in with the gifts or on my tree as a nod to the festivities. May need to get another!
The chicken is big, rubber is substantial and colors are vibrant. It's just like 'those' joke chickens!
Love it!!

The good, the bad and the rest

So funny! I always have somewhat of a theme for Christmas. Now that I have no littles I still want to keep things fun and enjoyable for the family. This year as soon as I saw this thing I thought, "Tacky Christmas"! This is perfect for that vision.

It is a harder plastic than I was expecting. More like an aggressive chewer for dogs. Nothing like I remember of the old floppy, noise making rubber chicken back in the day. Kinda a shame but this way it will maintain standing up without issue. So there is that. Really wish it would have made noise, clucking out holiday tunes would have amped it up to the next level. Not docking for that as it didn't suggest that it would, just seems a missed opportunity. I thought maybe I could insert a player of some sort, but the opening is very narrow.

That's the only real negative to this item. The base opening for placing on the tree is only 3/4". Smaller than a quarter and only about 2" deep. It does feel like I should be able to enlarge the hole without damaging the integrity, but still... for roughly $30 I shouldn't have to try and figure out a way to rig it up.

Overall though, I think it'll hit that tacky factor I'm going for. Especially when added to all the other elements I've got in mind. If you've also got a twisted sense of humor, this is one to consider.
Peace

Change from tradition

This is a tree topper in the shape of a rubber chicken. Measurements aren't quite what was listed. The entire chicken is just at 12 inches in length, 10 inches will sit above the tree when placed. Color is bright and doesn't rub off at all. Sad to find out it doesn't make any noise but you can't have everything hahaha

Hilarious and unique

This rubber chicken tree topper is so hilarious to me. My Saint Bernard puppy is absolutely obsessed with rubber chickens and it's become a family joke, so when I saw this tree topper it was an absolute must-buy. I kept it a surprise from my husband until I opened the package and the annoyed look on his face was so worth it.

This thing is also surprisingly big! It's like a foot long and will look hilarious on our Christmas tree this year. We are dressing up as rubber chickens for Halloween so I'll probably make an ornament using our picture to go with the tree topper. It is a little pricey, so I feel like you would need a specific reason to want a rubber chicken tree topper in order to pay $50, but there's obviously a market for it.

My only complaint is that the hole for the tree branch is very narrow and I'm not sure it's going to actually fit on our tree the way it's supposed to. I may need to zip tie it to the branch as another reviewer suggested.

Can't wait for Christmas!

I have always found rubber chickens hilarious and when I saw this, I knew that I had to put it up on one of my Christmas trees. We generally have one Christmas tree at home, and then we have one in our business. I'm going to put it on if the tree at our shop because I think that people would laugh, and I like to make people laugh. I showed it to my wife and she gave me one of those looks, but she eventually warmed up to the idea of putting a rubber chicken on the top of our Christmas tree lol. I can't wait for the we can following Thanksgiving, that's when we go out and get a couple trees and put them up and decorate them. I know the star is supposed to go last on your tree but maybe this year I will put the rubber chicken up first.
